Djeenies

Genies are generally known for granting wishes in Arabian folklore, and this NFT collection is all about granting wishes. With a collection of 7,777 djins, the Djeenies is an NFT series based on a genesis collection that started in early 2021.

According to the team, the art project is focused on utility and priority has been given to making each djin in the collection unique. The NFTs derive their features from more than 200 traits. However, Djeenies has been divided into 4 primary categories, each having a plethora of possible combinations and traits. The categories are “Civilian,” “Medieval,” “Cyberpunk” and “Celestial.”

Speaking of granting wishes, each Djeenies functions as a ticket to a raffle where random holders will win other NFTs. There are also three so-called “great wishes” that members of the community stand to receive for holding an NFT. First is the potential to win a Baby CyberKongz, CryptoToadz, MAYC, or Cool Cats NFT, valued at 10 ETH. The second wish is valued at 40 ETH and might be a piece from the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Meanwhile, the final wish has an estimated value of 100 ETH and is expected to be a CryptoPunk.

It is worth mentioning that the items in the wish box are only examples of what token holders can win. The community will have to vote on which NFTs should be gifted.

In the future, Djeenies will collaborate with other NFT designers and also create a metaverse Djeenee character that can be used in Sandbox and Somnium Space VR.

You’d have to agree that most recent NFT collections promise investors financial gains. Surprisingly, the team behind the Mad Ape Tournament is not making any promises. According to them, “NFTs were created as art pieces intended for people to enjoy by collecting (not as a financial instrument).”

The primary utility of the NFTs is to grant holders exclusive access to a competitive RPG game where a limited number of players contend to dethrone the Mad Ape King. Only holders of the Mad Ape Tournament NFTs can participate in the gameplay.

“The collection consists of 10,000 unique mad ape NFTs inspired by games, anime, meme, pop culture and obviously the other top monkey-based collections […] The tournament will be a PvE ladder where players climb up by beating an NPC boss at each step. Final boss is the Mad Ape King. First person to beat the Mad Ape king will be the winner of the tournament and will become the new Mad Ape King.”

It is worth mentioning that the game is still in a conceptual stage and the team needs the funds from the sales to push its development.
