Bitcoin sank under $80K while getting closer to pre-election levels, and the Fear & Greed Index went to 10 even with so much bullish news in the crypto market, like the SEC dropping its case against Coinbase.

Market Overview

The GameFi market cap started at $15.11 billion, dropped to $12.51 billion, then bounced and ended at $13.45 billion over the last seven days.
The yearly decline continued but hope remains that the release of any anticipated AAA game like Off The Grid and World of Dypians could trigger a rally that would melt faces!
The only gaming token that decided not to follow the sideways crowd was VON, which went on a moon mission and soared over 300% during the last week.

According to DeFiLlama’s Narrative Tracker, GameFi was ranked fourth and outperformed Bitcoin Solana, Ethereum and memes. Probably too soon to start the party, but Web3 gaming has not had its run yet. Just saying!

What You Can Do Now

  • Focus on quality over hype: look out for games that people play for fun rather than just for earning.
  • Check for real utility and in-game integration: projects where tokens and NFTs have multiple use cases within the game such as staking, upgrades, and crafting, tend to be more sustainable.
  • Evaluate team experience and transparency: teams with a proven track record in gaming or blockchain are more likely to deliver.
  • Assess community activity and growth: high player retention and active communities (Discord, Twitter, Reddit) show that a game can attract and keep players.
  • Keep an eye on the Immutable and TOKYO BEAST partnership.
