Berachain Launches Its Mainnet: Key Information for MetaMask Users To Claim Airdrop

On Feb. 6, 2025, Berachain successfully launched its mainnet, introducing an EVM-compatible layer-1 blockchain designed to enhance liquidity and user engagement.

The launch coincided with a significant airdrop, distributing 15.75% of the total supply of its native token, BERA, to eligible participants. This distribution aims to incentivize early adopters, including testnet users and liquidity providers.
To participate in the Berachain ecosystem, users are encouraged to add the network to their MetaMask wallets. The necessary details for integration include the network name "Berachain," a new RPC URL, a chain ID of "80085," and the currency symbol "BERA." Additionally, users can opt for a one-click setup available in Berachain’s official documentation.

The airdrop's allocation amounts to approximately 79 million BERA tokens, with at least 11.15% available immediately in eligible users' wallets. The eligibility checker for the airdrop is where users can verify their participation status.

In a related development, Binance announced a separate airdrop of 10,000,000 BERA tokens for users who subscribed to Simple Earn products between Jan. 22 and 26, 2025. This additional airdrop further broadens the opportunities for users to engage with the Berachain ecosystem.

According to the Berachain Foundation, the airdrop targets a diverse group, including testnet participants, community members, and strategic partners. The mainnet's launch and the accompanying airdrop highlight the growing trend of incentivizing user involvement in new blockchain networks.
