The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), one of Dubai's economic free zones, has welcomed the Solana Foundation into its ecosystem partner network. The cooperation, announced on October 15, aims to harness Solana's blockchain technology for the benefit of DMCC Crypto Centre members.

Solana will provide DMCC Crypto Centre members with technical and commercial development support, including webinars and instructional seminars on various Web3 issues. Furthermore, Solana will broaden its grant programme within the DMCC.

With this partnership, Solana aims to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and expand its blockchain platform's reach. In return, DMCC will offer complimentary setup and business licensing for Solana ecosystem projects, while its members can access a blockchain platform and dedicated Solana engineering teams to enhance their businesses.

The DMCC is recognized worldwide as a premier free zone and the Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise. It was established to boost the UAE's investment climate and is one of the three initial economic free zones in the country, along with the Abu Dhabi Global Market and Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority.

The DMCC currently has 23,000 companies as its official members, and its ecosystem partners include various entities such as the crypto exchange Bybit, digital asset market maker DWF Labs, Web3 incubator TDeFi, and venture capital fund Brinc.
