As the Tariff War Games appear to have been put on the back burner the next 90 days, the
Web3 gaming sector and the rest of the market got a much-needed boost this week with exciting new titles debuting on the
BNB Chain and with
Immutable (IMX) announcing it will merge its original Immutable X network into its newer Immutable zkEVM blockchain.
The crypto majors like
Bitcoin,
Ethereum,
XRP,
BNB and
Solana experienced whiplash after
Trump stirred the markets. First, he said it was a great time to buy, then eased tariffs for much of the world, except China. Then he doubled down with even tougher tariffs on China.
Market Overview
The
GameFi market cap dropped more than 20%, from $10.73 billion to $8.82 billion, as chaos erupted all over the markets. Later, however, it saw a decent recovery and ended at $10.13 billion over the seven-day period.
Unfortunately, we hit new yearly lows—though so did the entire market. Can the devs please do something?
Here is the
GameFi chart for the last 12 months.

According to
DeFiLlama’s Narrative Tracker,
GameFi was ranked seventh, up eight places from last week, outperforming
Bitcoin,
Ethereum,
Solana and
NFTs.
Web3 gaming is really stepping up this week; things are looking way more promising. It still feels weird not seeing
IMX at the top of the leaderboard, though.
Top Gainers:
Top Decliners:
The drama just won’t stop around the two most-hyped AAA titles aiming to take Web3 gaming to Valhalla, Gunzilla Games’ $
GUN and Shrapnel
($SHRAP). The FUD is relentless.
Another week and another game is migrating to
Ronin, as
Realms of Alurya makes the jump.
Yat Siu believes that culture is the future asset class. Great, Yat, now pump my bags!
GameFi adoption is slowly but surely gaining momentum—just look at the growth happening on
IMX.
- UneMeta’s UAW soared 107.63% with 1.87M new wallets, 4.27M logins, 192.4M points earned, and 8.83M transactions.
- Meowtopia surged 54.08%, as they believe life is better with a cat by your side.
- PlayEmber rose 5.79% as they bring creatures and nature to Penguin Life.
- World of Dypians gained 5.30%, and their Treasure Hunt is back and bigger than ever with a $20,000 prize pool.
- Seraph: In The Darkness is slightly up by 0.01%, while the Barbarians are grinding with full focus and furrowed brows.
Immutable To Combine Gaming Networks
Immutable will merge its original Immutable X network into its newer Immutable zkEVM blockchain by late 2025. They aim to streamline their ecosystem and support its rapidly growing zkEVM network, which has handled nearly 150 million transactions since launching in early 2024.
Aavegotchi Will Migrate to Base
The
Aavegotchi DAO has voted to migrate its Web3 gaming ecosystem from
Polygon to
Base, with 93% of 360 voters supporting the proposal by
Pixelcraft Studios. The move aims to reduce operational costs and improve user onboarding.
Pixelcraft evaluated multiple blockchains before selecting Base, citing smoother onboarding and a better user experience compared to alternatives like
Arbitrum and
Ronin. The migration will freeze assets on
Polygon, with smart contracts upgraded to prevent further transfers.
Top 5 BNB Games
BNB Smart Chain is becoming a hub for Web3 gaming, with over 500 blockchain games. Its three-second block times and EVM compatibility make it ideal for fast-paced, play-to-earn experiences. Here are five games leading the charge in 2025:
A dark fantasy action RPG blending traditional gameplay with blockchain mechanics. Players unlock NFT features after level 60, offering tradeable upgrades and exclusive content.
A metaverse with over 1.4 million monthly players and 320,000 NFTs sold. WoD features land ownership, DeFi integration, and governance tools. It recently launched on
Epic Games and is backed by major investors like
Andreessen Horowitz.
A space-themed ecosystem combining DeFi and gaming. Players mine KARAT tokens, improve efficiency with NFTs, and stake tokens for increased returns.
A 5v5 Web3 MOBA with esports-style tournaments and on-chain item ownership. Players use NFTs to compete in events and earn rewards. The game also allows community-hosted tournaments.
A cyberpunk shooter built on
Unreal Engine 5. Set in a dystopian future, it features PvP combat, NFT heroes and gear, and optional Web3 tools. Players can earn stablecoins and participate in game governance through QORPO World.
- Focus on quality over hype: look out for games that people play for fun rather than just for earning.
- Check for real utility and in-game integration: projects where tokens and NFTs have multiple use cases within the game, such as staking, upgrades, and crafting, tend to be more sustainable.
- Evaluate team experience and transparency: teams with a proven track record in gaming or blockchain are more likely to deliver.
- Assess community activity and growth: high player retention and active communities (Discord, Twitter, Reddit) show that a game can attract and keep players.
- Keep an eye on all the games on BNB Smart Chain for 2025.
