Telegram's popular crypto game Major is set to launch its token on The Open Network (TON) on Nov. 28 at noon UTC. This announcement follows months of engagement from players, many of whom have participated in the game with the expectation of receiving a portion of the upcoming token airdrop.
Major, which has attracted around 30 million players since its introduction, operates within the tap-to-earn genre. It differentiates itself by emphasizing social engagement rather than traditional gameplay mechanics.
Players have been encouraged to enhance their in-game ratings, which the Major team indicated would influence the amount of tokens they receive.
The only confirmed exchange for the token launch is OKX, although the team has indicated that additional exchanges will be disclosed soon. Pre-market trading has already commenced on OKX, with speculative pricing suggesting the token may launch at approximately $1.32.
However, experts caution that these early trading figures can be unreliable due to the speculative nature of pre-launch markets.
In preparation for the token launch, Major announced earlier this month that all "farming methods" would cease as of Nov. 8, though players can still enjoy the game without earning rewards.
The timing of the airdrop remains unspecified, but it is expected to occur shortly after the token becomes available to the public. Users will likely need to select a withdrawal method in advance to facilitate the distribution of tokens to their wallets.
