The airdrop is designed to reward various user groups, with allocations structured according to user activity. A total of 425 million JUP tokens will be allocated to users who have participated in token swaps on the platform, with distribution based on their transaction volumes.

Additionally, 75 million JUP tokens are reserved for users who have staked their tokens, along with bonuses for those who have consistently participated in governance voting.

This initiative is part of Jupiter's ongoing strategy to engage its community. The company previously conducted an airdrop last year, distributing nearly 1 billion JUP tokens. Jupiter has announced plans for annual airdrops, committing to distribute tokens each January through 2027.

Jupiter currently has a circulating supply of 1.68 billion JUP tokens, out of a maximum total supply of 10 billion, and boasts a market capitalization of $1.48 billion. The token is trading at $0.88, reflecting a 33% increase since its initial launch in January 2024.

Founded in October 2021, Jupiter was developed to consolidate liquidity from various decentralized exchanges within the Solana ecosystem.

The platform also offers a perpetual trading product, expanding its services within the decentralized finance sector.
