Sony's Soneium blockchain platform has announced a collaboration with LINE, a major messaging service, to integrate LINE’s mini-apps into the Soneium ecosystem. This partnership aims to enhance user experience by introducing four mini-games on-chain over the coming months.
The integration comes shortly after both companies launched significant initiatives in January 2025. Soneium, an Ethereum layer-2 solution developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, went live on its mainnet, while LINE introduced a decentralized app portal for users to access decentralized applications (DApps) through its mobile messenger.
The four mini-games slated for release include "Sleepagotchi LITE," "Farm Frens," "Moonveil: Puffy Match," and "Pocket Mob." LINE's mini-app builders will receive support from Soneium in areas such as community building and strategic marketing.
Jun Watanabe, chairman of Sony Block Solutions Labs, stated that the integration of successful mini-apps into the Soneium ecosystem represents a significant step toward increasing accessibility for users.
LINE has established a strong presence in markets such as Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand and is actively exploring opportunities within the Web3 space.
The partnership aligns with Soneium's goal of fostering innovation in blockchain technology. With LINE's recent ventures into decentralized applications, the collaboration is expected to leverage both companies' strengths to create a more robust platform for users.
