Popular Telegram Game Catizen Token Launch Set for September 20

The highly anticipated token launch for Catizen, a popular Telegram-based game, has been officially scheduled for September 20. This announcement comes after a delay in the release of the CATI token, which will be launched on The Open Network (TON), from the original launch date in July.

Crypto exchange Bybit announced on Thursday that it will list CATI for spot trading. This listing for spot trading indicates that the token generation event (TGE) will take place on September 20.
Catizen's rise to popularity can be attributed partly to its promise of rewarding in-game progression with a share of an upcoming airdrop. Catizen recently teased a significant event or announcement for September 21. While some players initially thought this might be the token launch itself, it could potentially mark the opening of the airdrop claim process for eligible players.

The CATI token is trading at $0.4377 on OKX's pre-market, slightly lower than its valuation on other exchanges offering pre-market trading. Bitget’s pre-market price is trading at $0.46, while Bybit's pre-market price sits at $0.53.

Pre-market trading allows for speculation on a token's eventual price, but it comes with heightened risks. The volatility often associated with gaming and meme coins is amplified in pre-market scenarios, as tokenomics and airdrop allocations may not be fully disclosed or finalized during this period.

The September 20 launch now places Catizen among a group of Telegram games set to release their tokens this month, including Hamster Kombat and Rocky Rabbit.
