New narratives are coming and going at a blistering pace as the meme hivemind scours outposts strewn between TikTok, X and Instagram, only to sync up in hours and push their coins to hundreds of millions of dollars—and occasionally billions. These are usually toppy signs, so be sure not to get caught up in the hype and gamble more than you can lose.

7-Day Meme Coin Market Snapshot
Are we in a supercycle already? The overall meme coin market cap is up once again like scammers in your DMs, this time 11%, climbing from $102 billion to $115 billion.
This comes as Bitcoin breaks its ATH, with MicroStrategy buying another $4.6 billion BTC.

The majority of top meme coins had a slight but steady rise, while Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT) went on a Mars mission this week, following a top-tier crypto exchange listing and a tweet from Elon Musk.

Bitcoin looks very bullish, and Ethereum went sideways while Solana outperformed—its daily DEX trading volume soared to a new record of $5 billion.
Bitcoin has recently made multiple new ATHs and Solana is not far behind, but our beloved grandma Ethereum is still lagging.

Meme Coin Market vs Other Crypto Sectors
According to DeFiLlama’s Narrative tracker, real-world assets (RWA) are at the top as Goldman Sachs prepares to launch a new crypto platform. Mathew Mcdermott, the Global Head of Digital Assets at Goldman Sachs said that they are speaking to potential partners, Bloomberg reported. Meme coins were the second-hottest narrative this week though.
The 30-day trajectory for meme coins continues its astronomical surge, rising almost 172%.

Hasbulla’s cat recently passed away. A meme token was launched on Pump.fun in memory of Barsik the cat. This initiated a Hasbulla meta, and many more Hasbulla-inspired meme tokens were launched.
MartyrFi Memorial Grows
Peanut’s physical demise, and on-chain resurrection, has kickstarted a whole new craze we call MartyrFi, with hopeful PumpFunners piling into such keepers like Fred the First Convicted Raccoon, Harambe (yep, that same one) and pretty much any farm animal they can find on the Freedom Farm Instagram feed (bring tissues).
Even Alex Becker and Arthur Hayes capitulated and eventually joined in.

Talking about Becker, he’s begun glitching more than a Minecraft-playing ai16Z-powered AI agent as he waits for GameFi Season to kick off, and after getting Cheyenned up this week, he’s announced a mystery contest leading up to the launch of his own meme coin, of which he’ll own nothing, apparently.

DeSci Narrative Heats Up
Decentralized Science (DeSci) uses blockchain and Web3 technologies and has the potential to make science more decentralized, transparent and accessible. It makes research funding fairer, data more accessible, and peer review more transparent.
And of course, that also makes it meme-able.
Pump Science is a platform that crowdsources the financing, research and development of chemicals to increase healthspan (longevity). They decided to gamify the experience via tokens.
